The body is glazed ceramic in red and white stripes, edged with a gold scallop. The big-top lid is finished with a small blue star — that is where the whole character of the piece comes from.
At 18 cm tall and 15 cm across, it swallows a good supply of speculoos, Christmas biscuits or chocolates. Glazed inside and out, it washes in warm water. Out of season it makes a very good utensil pot.
